The Seoul Metropolitan Government is offering scholarships to outstanding international students in science and engineering fields to pursue master’s degrees at graduate schools in Seoul.
The programme aims to nurture these students into key talent for Seoul’s future industries. It supports international students who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) from bachelor’s programmes in science and engineering abroad by providing scholarships (tuition, living expenses, etc.) to pursue master’s degrees at universities in Seoul. Additionally, the programme assists graduates with employment opportunities after completing their degrees, aiming to retain talented individuals in Seoul.

Important Notes
- For certain graduate schools, successful applicants may be required to pay the application fee as per the school’s instructions (Refer to Admission Information for Universities).
Who can apply?

Applicants must have citizenship of UN member countries that participated in the Korean War (including South Africa);

Be under 40 years of age (born on or after 1 January 1985;

Have earned, or be expected to earn, a bachelor’s degree from a university in an eligible country (or a sister/friendship city for relevant applicants) by 31 August 2025;

Meet one of the following criteria:
1) Percentage Score: 80% or higher
2) CGPA: 2.64/4.0, 2.8/4.3, 2.91/4.5, 3.23/5.0 or higher

Note: Transfer students will be evaluated based on the average of their combined grades from before and after the transfer.

Application process
Completed application form accompanied by all the required documentation should reach the Embassy before 28 February 2025. Once received, the Embassy will submit to the Seoul Metropolitan Government by its deadline of 7 March 2025.
