As part of the Russia–Africa education partnership and under the auspices of UNESCO, the International Competence Centre for Mining Engineering Education is offering a fully funded postgraduate training opportunity for African professionals in the field of Subsoil-Mineral Resources Management for the 2025 academic year.
Hosted at Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University this intensive, one-year full-time programme equips emerging leaders with advanced knowledge and practical skills essential for managing mineral resource complexes in Africa’s extractive industries.

Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a resident of an African country;
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Subsoil/Mineral Resources or Management/Economics;
- Have at least one year of relevant work experience;
- Demonstrate English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

What the scholarship offers
Each successful applicant will receive a grant valued at USD 25,000, which includes:
